How YOU Can Help

  •  Check out  Programs We Help and their needs under this menu.
  •  Sew seasonally appropriate clothing and other needed items such as diaper bags, backpacks, quilts, etc.  We encourage those with other craft skills such as knitting, crocheting and weaving to join in.  Please check out our donation guidelines before sending.  Lots of free pattern links  can be found here, on Pinterest and across the web.

  • Help provide essentials such as toiletries, shoes, diapers, coats, school supplies, etc.

  • Help develop educational materials (cloth diapering instructions for example) to include with donations.

  • Sew, craft or purchase items for children’s learning activities to help develop needed skills.

  • Share your ideas and projects with the group.

  • Donate fabric, batting, notions, yarn and other supplies to our volunteers on tight budgets.

  • Recruit family, friends and members of charitable groups to help children on the Reservations.

  • Put our name on your Facebook or Twitter page, add a signature line on your email or let us know of groups we might link to that are crafty and want to work together on projects so we can help more children.

  • Contribute monetary donations to Lakota Friends Circle, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity that helps provide for basic needs such as food, heating assistance, home repair, school projects, and warm clothing and blankets.  Sew For Kids is a special program of Lakota Friends Circle so all donations through us qualify as tax deductible as well as those to LFC.   Please check their Facebook page or website for current needs.
